About this tool
Some forms ask for a signature file of 20 KB or less. This page starts with 140 by 60 pixels and a 20 KB limit, but you can change both numbers to match your form.
How to use it
- Photograph your signature on plain white paper and choose the picture.
- Check the width and height. Change them to what your form asks for.
- Check the maximum file size in KB, or clear it for no limit.
- Press Resize Image and download your signature.
Where a 20 KB signature limit shows up
Application forms and portals often set a small size for the signature to keep uploads quick. The size in pixels and the size in KB are usually both given, so check both on your form.
A signature is mostly white paper, so it compresses very well. If the result looks rough, make the pixels slightly larger and keep the limit. If it is still too big, lower the pixels instead.
Common questions
Will the signature be exactly 20 KB?
It will be 20 KB or a little smaller. The tool picks the best quality that stays under the limit.
My form needs different pixels. What do I do?
Change the width and height before you press the button. The KB limit still applies.
Why does a signature compress so well?
It is mostly plain white paper with a few dark lines, so there is little detail to store.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The picture is processed inside your browser and never leaves your device.
